Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Your tour begins in the middle of Moab where you’ll meet your guide, and board the comfortable 4WD vehicle for the 5-mile (8-km) drive to the park. Once inside Arches National Park, your off-roading adventure begins when you leave the road by Doc Williams Point.

More than 2,000 giant sandstone arches are scattered throughout the park, which is the largest collection of naturally occurring arches found anywhere in the world. You’ll also find pinnacles, fins, and rocks along this epic landscape of rich red earth sculpted by time.

If some of this landscape looks familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen it in the movies. Popular films like Thelma and Louise were shot in portions of the park, as were scenes for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

If you choose the evening tour, there’s a chance you could see a fiery sunset illuminate the red rocks. Once the sun is below the horizon, stars sparkle in one of the darkest skies in the country.

Towards the end of the tour, you’ll leave the park via an old cowboy trail. It’s here where you’ll stop to see fossilized dinosaur tracks stamped into the earth.

Finally, after several hours of backcountry exploring in the southern Utah terrain, your tour finishes in the center of Moab from the same spot where it began.

What am I creditable tour , Rick went out of his way to give us a memorable experience ! We did and saw so much in a short period of time !
Bad guide
, Sep 2021
The scenes were excellent. The guide was not good at all. The jeep was dirty, including the windows. The guide knew very little about the area. It was obvious he was making up answers to some of our questions. Caught him talking to another person asking questions that he should have already know the answers to. He asked if we needed the step stool to get in the vehicle, but always forgot to get it. I had to get it out myself once. We told him from the start that we would take alot of pictures, then later indicated we did not tell him. He made it very hard to take some pictures because he didn't want to take the time to let us out of the jeep. Our tour only lasted 4 hours, when the discription of the tour indicated approximately 5 hours.
Anniversary tour.

Rich was a great tour guide. We had a blast and learned a great deal about the park and saw some beautiful vistas. Rich made this tour especially memorable for us - it was our 49th Anniversary and he took us to the Anniversary arches. Highly recommend your and Rich.

My wife got to experience off-roading for the fist time, she loved it! We got to see parts of Arches that you can’t see from the road.

A fun back- country drive through arches. Eye of the Whale Arch and we were the only ones there. John was a fun driver. Highly recommend.
Recommend John as a tour guide

John was an excellent tour guide, and managed to drive our 4X4 over back country terrain I would thought required a tank or a moon rover. He was very informative about some of the botanical, geological, and historical details. Some of the hikes to get a closer view of some of the spectacular arches were a little too strenuous for me, but hiking was optional, and other members of our group hiked a fair distance for some stupendous views.
Perfect Tour

I wouldn't take this tour without Ric! He was friendly, informative, and entertaining! I laughed for 2 straight hours. We loved Ric taking us to all the remote parts of the park and showing us his favorite spots! He also personalized the tour and made sure we were taken care of. Thanks for a great tour!
